- Alex Matisse recently completed two apprenticeships with NC potters, the first with Matt Jones of Sandy Mush, and then with Mark Hewitt of Pittsboro. He is currently working on his own kiln in East Fork, a small farming community outside of Asheville, NC.

Michael, we are eating very well. Tonight I met up with Mehmet. He showed me his retail space and tomorrow I'm going to go work in his shop. Its all more than I could have hoped for. More details later tonight... Watching my boys comanding lead get stripped away by the lakers.
