The sale has come and gone and Joseph, Mark, and I are settled back into the throwing cycle. The racks are filling up and I am sitting in JFK airport waiting for a plane to Washington state to visit family and see my little brother graduate from college. Hopefully he will make some time to take me fishing.
Two larger changes happened in the time since my last post. The first was somewhat predictable. Successfully completing one more year on this grand old earth and rolling past the quarter century mark into the 26th year of my life..... I turned 25. The second big change took place the day after and was slightly less anticipated and much more exciting and frightening all at the same time.
I closed on 27 acres of steep mountains, 3 acres of pasture, an old somewhat dilapidated 1920's farm house, two huge over grown apple trees, an old tobacco barn in a much more dilapidated state, and a two seater outhouse. The future home of East Fork Pottery. The place is located 30 minutes from Ashville outside the town of Mars Hill. Look out for a blog name change in the coming months! Untill then I am trying to stay focused for this last cycle and make some nice pots. I'll keep you all posted!
The picture option is not working but I will update this with some snaps of the place when I land in Seattle.
