The past few days were spent getting the last few pots in, bricking up the doors, and moving wood to the respective piles that Mark likes to have distributed around the kiln. Tomorrow I will go in for a shift from 10 until 2 and then go home for the afternoon only to return at midnight for the late night shift which those of you who have followed the blog since it's inception know that I enjoy.

Alex Matisse recently completed a two-year pottery apprenticeship with Matt Jones in Sandy Mush NC. He currently works with the potter, Mark Hewitt and in the spring of 2010 he plans to build a kiln and pottery of his own.
